  10.        This chapter lists supplemental information to the _I_R_I_S
  11.        _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e.  The information listed here is
  12.        product- and release-specific; use it with the Installation
  13.        Guide to install this product.

  15.        2.1  _4_D_w_m__S_u_b_s_y_s_t_e_m_s

  17.        The 4Dwm product includes these subsystems:

  19.        _4_D_w_m._s_w._4_D_w_m                  This is the 4Dwm software, the
  20.                                      IRIS Extended Motif Window
  21.                                      Manager.  It is the default
  22.                                      window manager.  Install this
  23.                                      subsystem on graphics systems.
  24.                                      It is not important to install
  25.                                      this subsystem on non-graphics
  26.                                      systems.

  36.        All of the 4Dwm subsystems can be installed using IRIX.  You
  37.        do not need to use the miniroot.  Refer to the _I_R_I_S _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e
  38.        _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e for complete installation instructions.

  40.        2.3  _4_D_w_m__S_u_b_s_y_s_t_e_m__D_i_s_k__S_p_a_c_e__R_e_q_u_i_r_e_m_e_n_t_s

  42.        This section lists the subsystems (and their sizes) of the
  43.        4Dwm software.

  45.        If you are installing this software for the first time, the
  46.        subsystems marked ``default'' are the ones that are
  47.        installed if you use the ``go'' menu item.  To install a
  48.        different set of subsystems, use the ``install,''
  49.        ``remove,'' ``keep,'' and ``step'' commands in _i_n_s_t to
  50.        customize the list of subsystems to be installed, then
  51.        select the ``go'' menu item.

  53.        Note:  The listed subsystem sizes are approximate. Refer to
  54.               the _I_R_I_S _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e for information

  84.        If you want to install _4_D_w_m._s_w._4_D_w_m, you must also install
  85.        _m_o_t_i_f__e_o_e._s_w._e_o_e and _x__e_o_e._s_w._e_o_e.  If you want to install
  86.        _4_D_w_m._m_a_n._4_D_w_m, be aware that the 4Dwm man page contains only
  87.        additions to the _m_w_m man page; therefore you must also
  88.        install _m_o_t_i_f__e_o_e._m_a_n._e_o_e.
